The Human Pump

Human power was once society’s principal source of energy, giving us access to ‘electricity’ and other forms of energy. A number of inventors have concentrated on technologies that capture human energy to power products like boats, swimming machines, juice makers, forklifts, gliders and scores of other machines developed to use human energy. In recent years, hand-cranking chargers, fans, torch lights, horns, and many other products have begun to appear in the mass consumer market. In a country with over 50% village homes not having access to electricity; with an average daily income of less than 1$; and having no means of affording alternative source of energy, could Human Powered solution very well be the answer to end all their miseries?
