India and Israel will collaborate on renewable energy research, according to India’s eNews website.  Israel recently announced that by 2020, it will require renewable energy sources to satisfy at least 10 percent of all energy use. Meanwhile, India faces its similar challenges in satisfying increasing demand for fresh water and cheaper, cleaner energy.  As a result, the countries plan to develop jointly the fields of environmental technology, water management, biotechnology and nanotechnology.
